Our story.... Thank you for taking the time to hear our story. My name is Carla Cary. I have worked in the corporate world for many years and have owned my own businesses. I have worked in staffing and recruiting, mortgage and real estate, and most recently helping seniors find safe and affordable housing. I love to help people! There is so much sadness in the world and I wanted to do something fun and light-hearted. My goal is to provide some unique and fun items that can bring some UNICORN MAGIC to your home…hence the name Decor Unicorn. Let us be your Decor Unicorn!! Recently and sadly I lost my 24 year son Dakota to the growing opioid epidemic. Two days later my mom Mary passed as well. My mom never knew that I lost my one and only child thankfully. Early in 2021 I found out that my son's girlfriend gave birth to a beautiful little girl. She is currently in the foster system. I am going thru the process to have a relationship with her whether it be raising her or visitation with the maternal side of the family. I am thankful that I have been able to return to entrepreneurship so I have a flexible schedule so that I am able to give back to the community and spend time with my granddaughter! We are donating a portion of the net proceeds at the end of each year to Freedom Ranch Rehab in San Diego to hopefully help some young men with the same horrible disease.
